No worry, BackWPup Admin is the role used to manage all BackWPUp features, which helps in case you give someone to log in your site to config or troubleshooting BackWPUp.
So event remove that role, you as site admin still have full access permission to BackWPUp 🙂
And/or how can I add this role to my new user/admin?
Just install BackWPUp on the new server again and the role will show up 🙂

Sorry to add my own question to this thread but I have the exact same question, and there was never any follow-up.
The original question never mentioned a new server. They have the plugin installed on their website, and only want to assign the “BackWPup Admin” role to a different administrator account so they can delete the current “BackWPup Admin” administrator user account. I want to do the exact same thing. But your answer says to “Just install BackWPUp on the new server again and the role will show up”.
I don’t want to re-install the plugin; it is all set up and working fine. I just want to assign the “BackWPup Admin” role to a different admin account. Can that be done without re-installing?
