 * I want to change our website to secure ([https://](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-change-image-links-to-https/?output_format=md)).

   The hosting company has done a check and found some instances where a link change
   is required. Example: An image with an insecure url of “[http://www.gw4x4r.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/snowice.gif&#8221](http://www.gw4x4r.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/snowice.gif&#8221);
   was loaded on line: 134 of [https://gw4x4r.co.uk/](https://gw4x4r.co.uk/). This
   URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return.
 * I don’t know how to do this – for example, I don’t know the page where that image
   is (media perhaps)?
 * Can you suggest a method to make these changes please?

 * Install the plugin “better search replace”. Search for `http://www.gw4x4r.co.
   uk` and replace with `https://www.gw4x4r.co.uk` in all tables.

 * Many thanks- I have now run the search and replace; the proof will come when
   the host updates, I think.

 * There’s nothing else to update; just clear your site cache, if you’re using any
   caching plugins.

 * I’m still left with two images that can’t be fixed via search & replace.
    I guess
   that’s because the images’ links are “inside” the website, not external, e.g.“
   [http://www.gw4x4r.co.uk/migration/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/snowice.gif&#8221](http://www.gw4x4r.co.uk/migration/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/snowice.gif&#8221);
 * So I suppose this is a vicious circle; I would probably need to replace the image
   with something else temporarily. The problem is I don’t know how to find it using
   WP – if you look at the website you can see the snowice and flooding images in
   the top part of the home page.

 * Update – I tried the plugin “Really simple SSL” and that solved the problem (
   redirect).
