# How to change Tag names?

 * I have a tag I want to change the name for from “Tiny Cottage” to “Cottage”.
 * In the past I have changed a tag name by hand, editing the tag name on each post.
   In this case there are a lot of posts with this tag which will make it a very
   long process.
 * Is there a plugin that allows me (the blog admin) to change the name of a tag
   and then have all the posts related to that tag also get changed?
 * Is there another easy way?
 * I’ve searched the support archives and the plugins but have come up blank. Perhaps
   I’m not using the right search terms. Any helpful suggestions are appreciated.

 * Many thanks. Some how I got in my head that when I did it there WordPress didn’t
   edit the tags on the posts. Solved and thank you.
