How to convert default theme post page layout into static homepage?

    Hi, all. Setting up a new site and have chosen the “Koinonia” theme. I love the layout of the default post page it creates and I’d like to use it as a static homepage, instead. Is there a way to easily convert it to that rather than rebuilding it from scratch? When I go to Settings -> Reading, I see how to set a static homepage, but I have to select from pages I’ve created. Thanks.
