How to disable sorting standard post?

    In the plugin settings, in the “Check Sort post type” section, I have to choose not only the custom post type “Contests” (for the sake of sorting which I installed this plugin), but also the standard “Posts”, although I do not need to sort the standard “Posts”.
    If I remove the check mark from the standard “Posts”, the sorting of the custom post type “Contests” stops working.
    How would you separate one from the other?
    If I only enable the sorting of the custom post type “Contests”, the sorting does not work – without check standard post type.

    Can you please let me know what theme are you using and what are you using for the custom post type ‘Contests’?
    I will try to replicate this on my end in order to investigate further.

    The theme is “ASTRA”, and the plugin that I use to create custom post types is ” Custom Post Type UI”

    Thank you for letting me know!
    I just installed Astra and Custom Post Type UI, made a new custom post type and only turned on this new custom post without also turning on ‘Posts’.
    It worked on my end to change their order without having on ‘Posts’ as well.

    After you install and activate the above plugin it has a Troubleshooting mode which allows you to have a vanilla WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user – your visitors will still see the normal website.

    Go to its troubleshoot mode and activate only Astra theme, SCPO, and Custom Post Type UI and see if the same issue happens with no other plugins.
    I just want to make sure this is not coming from another plugin.

    No, nothing has been solved yet, and the problem remains. I have not yet had the physical opportunity to implement your recommendations using third-party plugins.
