    Hello,

Changing the default language will invalidate existing translations. We can’t keep them because the translations are directional, from the default language to the additional language, and you’ll also need to change all your content directly into the new language.
The default language is the language your content was written in.
You’ll need to re-add the content in the new default language and translate it again.

If you want another language to be the first language, then simply enable:

    • TranslatePress Settings → General tab → Use a subdirectory for the default language → Yes
    • Reorder the languages and set Latvian as the first language in the list

If you’d still like to change the default language, you can do so under TranslatePress – Settings – General tab – Default Language. Just make sure to add the desired language and that all the content on your site is in this language, so it can be translated into the additional language.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Have a great day!

    Kind regards,
