# How to extract theme code

 * I have a tester site. And want to extract the code from the Theme Files from 
   The tester site and add it onto my main website. Is the anyway i can do this.

   I have used the basic 2012 theme for my new theme but i am building from that.
   I have actually now moved to Gantry for the base theme [](http://http://www.gantry-framework.org/download)

 * Sure but you really need to know something about PHP and theme development first.
   It’s just a matter of copying the PHP into the right files and using the API 
   correctly.
