How to Fix Phrase/ Syntax Error

I have inserted a widget into my wordpress website to show my recent posts. However, when I click on the blog title links I receive the following error: “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /hsphere/local/home/a877481/tenwaystosavethousandsonyourmortgage.com/wordpress/wp-content/themes/twentyten/single.php on line 11”.
I recently tried to changed the Common Settings for the permalinks for my blog and am not sure if that had something to do with the error since I already had a few posts.
Any idea how I can fix this? I’m not very good at coding, so any advice is great!
