I’m working on a client’s site. She sells ad space to individual advertisers, who provide her with an image and a link for that ad. Is there a process for adding such an ad, or does my client need to manually enter the html for the link and the image tag into the code editor?

Our goal is to identify a solution that makes it easy for her (non-technical) to manage this sort of ad. If this plugin can’t do that, is there another that might be better suited for managing these linked uploaded image ads?

    Hello,

the plugin has a simple code generator for banners:
    https://adinserter.pro/documentation/code-editing#banners

So you can easily build HTML code for image ads with a link.

    Please check also:

Hi and thank you – that helped.

I’m trying to set up a rotating banner of images, but when I use the Import Code/Generate Code functions, it overwrites the multiple items I’ve added in the code window with just the one item that is being edited in the editor. Is there no way to append what’s in the editor to the code window?

I’m trying to set this up so a non-technical user can manage banners, but if she has to edit code she’s going to push it back to me, which I’m trying to avoid.

Is there another approach to set up a rotating (changes with each page load) banner that is more friendly to the non-technical user?

I also notice that when using automatic insertion and choosing an HTML location, the field where you enter the CSS selector is truncating longer selectors.

Finally I notice whenever I am using the editor to select an image, and I choose to “upload” an image, the upload fails with the same message: “The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2016/10.” No such problem when uploading normally in the Media library. We don’t even have a /2016/ directory in uploads. Perhaps some value is hardcoded into the plugin?

    Hello,

you can write rotation code directly or use code generator:
    https://adinserter.pro/documentation/code-editing#ad-rotation

When you import the rotation code you can also use code generator to import banner or AdSense code for each rotation option. Of course, then you need to generate code back to the option.

Once all options are ok you click again on the rotation button to generate rotation code.
    https://adinserter.pro/documentation/ad-rotation

Again, when you have rotation code you need to use first rotation code generator and then banner/adsense code generator for each option.

Selectors should be as short as possible, however, there should be room even for longer selectors. What are you trying to save?

For uploading the plugin uses WP api, nothing hardocoded.
