• Hi there,
I’m an old school, and I ever used Classic editor.
For my practice, I always used in my blog HTML entity (è ó etc.) because in the Italian language we need.
When I am in Classic Editor, all the HTML entity is right, if I change in visual text, they are transformed in chars like this: é ó.
    Why?
I prefer to save into database HTML entity instead accent (and not just) chars.
I would like to use Gutenberg, how could I do to save the HTML entity?
Thanks in advance to everyone who can help me.

For the Classic editor, if you stay in Text mode, the entities are not converted to characters.

    Thanks for your answer Joy.
I must stay in the Text mode, otherwise, the entity is changed in special chars, and I prefer to save the entity into the database.
I follow the evolution of the question you have directed.
    Thanks -:)
