# How to paste into WordPress without pulling in extra formatting code

 * I am trying to copy and paste into word press, but every time I do it pulls in
   extra formatting code and changes the look of the final blog. I have tried converting
   the copy to plain text before I copy and paste, but then it converts all of my
   hyperlinks to plain text as well. Is there a way to fix this? I have tried using
   multiple word programs and can’t seem to figure this out. Help would be much 
   appreciated!

   Did you try Visual editor > Paste as Text ? – [Tutorial how to use Paste as Text](https://blogs.ces.uwex.edu/wordpress/posts-2/copy-and-paste-from-word/)
 * When you remove a formating – you must remove almost everything in 99%, or to
   create some custom solution just for you case (not that easy)
