    Hi there,

I have a WordPress Membership site that was built using PaidMembershipsPro and various addons (I paid for the plugin/addons – not using the free version).

I just discovered that my FAQ Posts aren’t membership protected and Google has indexed them (eek!). How do I add the ‘Membership Required’ Panel to the bottom of the ‘Edit Post’ or ‘Edit FAQs’ pages, like it is on ‘Edit Page’.

I am not a developer and have not renewed my PMPro Plus membership to the Paid Memberships Pro site, because the help given there is obviously aimed at developers and a little over my head.

    Thanks

    Hi @juliettem,

Thank you for getting in touch and using Paid Memberships Pro.

The paid support offers a more detailed service to our users (i.e. One of our support engineers are able to login to your site and apply the solution to your site – it may be something to think about if you require detailed support) 🙂

By the sounds of it, your FAQ Posts are created with a Custom Post Type.

There are two solutions you may look into here –

    1. Here is a Custom Post Type add-on created to add the ‘Require Membership’ meta box to custom post types (Easy) – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/plus-add-ons/custom-post-type-membership-access/

    or

    2. Here is a blog post on how to add some code to your website to add this feature in (Intermediate) – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-pmpro-membership-level-meta-box-to-a-custom-post-type/

Paid Memberships Pro is very flexible in which some coding may be needed to meet certain needs for our users.

If you require assistance in implementing this onto your site, please could you post on our Member Forums on http://www.paidmembershipspro.com

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Hi Andrew,

My apologies for the late response! Thank you very much for your helpful answer. I wasn’t aware that the support engineers could apply solutions to my site for me – I thought that I would need to apply the solutions myself. Based on that I have purchased the PMPro Core membership.

I tried to purchase the Custom Post Type add-on that you linked to above, but it appears that I need to pay an additional US$100 to have access to this plugin! Is that correct (seems rather unfair, that I’ve purchased membership but don’t get the option of purchasing a single plugin without having to fork out an additional $100!)

I will post on the Member Forums as you suggest, and hope to get a solution that way.

It’s no problem at all, sorry for only replying now.

I am attending to your thread on the members forum and will continue to assist you further on the members forum.
