# How to Reduce Generated Image-versions?

 * Hi,
    when uploading an image in Media Library Folders, aside from the original
   file, it generates many other file-versions with variety of sizes. Currently 
   in my case, it generates 24 more files from a single upload.
 * How to reduce generating some of these files?
 * I know, some of these are generated by other plugin but as a whole, I count not
   more than 7 file-sizes per image, for using in my front-end and my dashboard.
   
   Why the other ones are generated?

 * That is what WordPress does based on the needs of the theme and plugins you have
   installed. You would need to search for a plugin that helps you manage the thumbnail
   settings of your site.
