How to remove WordPress version number from cmplz-script agent? | ww.wp.xz.cn

It tells to hide the WordPress version number from public view to avoid attacks, so I put in the suggested script, but it does not take into account that Complianz shows the number in its cmplz-script (in <head>) in the agent tag.

I don’t want to improvise too much on this, so is there a safe way to hide this information through e.g. functions.php?

Hi @suvie,

To my knowlegde, this is a function in some of the security plugins (eg. iThemes). Please note that this can lead to update troubles, as the version numbers are removed from file names :-).

Ahh, yet another plugin. I feel like I’m drowning in them :’D Thank you so much for your help though! I recognise it might cause some issues that would need to keep an eye on!
