# How to split a post?

 * Hi there… I don’t know how to get this information. So sombody in here my help
   me.
 * I would like to split a post like the latest on [http://onesevenone.wordpress.com/](http://onesevenone.wordpress.com/).
   It is a very long post and I would like to dispaly just the first 10 Lines on
   my frontpage. All the rest should appear if you click on the post.
 * How can I manage to do that?

 * If I write a line into “excerpt” – there is still the normal content displayed…
   whats wrong?
