How to use parent groups?

    I created a simple groups three with one parent group and three child groups. When I apply a child group to user but not the parent group, I can’t access a page protected by the parent group.
    So, I guess if you assign a user to the child group, it isn’t assigned to the parent group, right?

    If so, what’s the parent group for?

    Hello,

    if you assign a page to a parent group > all children will have access to it.
    if you assign a page to a child group, parent will still have access but not the other child (of that same parent)

    That’s what I found when using this plugin

    Is parent groups the same as sub groups, or having the ability to have groups be members of other groups?

    I would like to have bbPress forums in each group, and that child group members be able to interact with the parent group forums.
