How to use this plugin

I have searched hi and low for instructions on how to use List Category Post with no luck. The main page of this plugin tells you how things work but it doesn’t tell you how to use it. There needs to be a step by step process for things like this. Where do you start? Does the code go on the page that you want the post to appear on? Do you have to place any code on the post that you are calling? So many questions with NO answers. Please help and please update this page.
