# How’d WordPress do that?

 * Hi, I was Googling wordpress and I found that if you just Google “wordpress” 
   you’ll see a little navigation of sorts under the description on the google result.
 * Here’s how it reads:
    “Support – About › Screenshots – Themes – Download More
   results from wordpress.org »”
 * Now, how did WordPress do that? Is that a Google Sitemaps thing? Can I do that
   for my sites?

 * It’s a Google thing. You can’t choose to have it.
 * They use this format for the top listing on popular keywords (e.g. real estate).
   The 4 links are usually to the 4 highest-PR pages that are linked from the home
   page, and the anchor text is normally the text from that page.

 * Well, aren’t you all a bunch of lucky ducks. I guess I’ll have to go and invent
   a really useful and awesome product and then distribute it to the masses for 
   free.

 * Not “how”, but what, if you really want to know. I’m no programmer, so “how” 
   is beyond me!

 * My guess is that it’s something to do with a fade JavaScript file for the replies
   to when someone posts one. The answers to the two questions above might also 
   be found in one of the following javascripts files. I dunno, just a guess lol.

 * Also, remember this is also a forum, not just “blog”. When I used phpBB we had
   mods to add that gave us “fade in” and “fade out” characteristics to the links
   and forum columns.
 * I’m not sure if adding them links above would upset anyone, but it’s in the source
   code, so what’s the harm lol..? Anyway..I could be wrong….I dunno..

 * LOL!! Well…WordPress has been around ALOT LONGER then you, me and anyone else
   using WordPress obviously lmao!! Can’t wait until ya release something free that
   works just as good as WordPress! Hahaha…

 * Nah. It’s an Ajax thing…. and nope, no one will mind about the links. I didn’t
   post that earlier since the guy posted “just kidding” – figured he already knew
   it all….

 * “- figured he already knew it all….” Hahaha… he prolly does lol!! Mmm…Ajax…I 
   just took a real quick glance at the topic.js file and thought maybe that’s part
   of the reason why it’s doing it lol…. but Ajax is some interesting stuff. =)
