 * Is it possible that the plugin is emptying my htaccess file? I’ve had a couple
   of crashes on my site since yesterday and I had to restore it from a backup.
   I don’t know if I’m beeig hacked or it’s the latest update that’s provoking it
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fhtaccess-modified-3%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hello [@subpopet](https://wordpress.org/support/users/subpopet/),
 * Thanks for using Yoast SEO but the plugin does not write to your `.htaccess`
   file nor empty it.
