# .htaccess problem

 * Hallo,
 * I have moved my WordPress installation from my personal webspace wwww.domain1.
   de/subfolder via the plugin [Duplicator](https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/)
   to the customers webspace [http://www.domain2.de](http://www.domain2.de).
 * To protect my own webspace [http://www.domain1.de](http://www.domain1.de) I have
   used a .htaccess.
 * After moving the WordPress installation on my customers webspace via the install.
   php file from the Duplicator plugin, the browser asks for the .htaccess password
   from my personal webspace although I am on my customers webspace.
 * I have checked the WordPress’s own .htacess file on the webspace [http://www.domain2.de](http://www.domain2.de)
   and they look ok.
 * I have no idea how to remove my “old” password protection on the new webspace.
 * I hope you can help me.

 * Hello.
    As I got it you’re trying to remove a .htaccess file which is asking 
   for a password. Try deleting it from a FTP connection (e.g. Filezilla).

 * I’ve deleted all .htaccess files from the main dir of my FTP server, but the 
   Browser still asks for a password. Are there more htaccess file than in the main
   dir?
