# .htm permalink not functioning correctly?

 * Hi
 * I seem to be having an issue with my permalink settings and wondered if someone
   could shed some light on the issue?
 * I’m simply trying to get my urls to use “.htm” at the end and not “/”
 * this is what i have set: /%category%.htm
 * yet the slash gets removed but doesn’t display the .htm in the address bar? any
   ideas? have i missed something?

 * you can’t use that like that
    you can only use postname
 * you could do like so
    `/%category%/%postname%.htm`
