Please note two other typos related to that component:
1. The list.php file with the missing end tag says to save a custom template override as dropdown.php (line 6), but it needs to be list.php.
2. Each list item (item.php, line 30) has an extra quote after the class attribute: <li class="tribe-events-c-subscribe-dropdown__list-item"">
Thank you for reporting this, we are impacted by this as well.
It would be great if this fix was prioritized as urgent, this has broken our Events Page.
I can report having this same issue as well. This needs to be prioritized because as @bozzmedia says, this breaks the events page.
