Hey there, I’ve done some research on this but have only found threads that seem to assume a bit more knowledge than I currently have on this.

I’m having an issue where hyperlinks are not showing up as linked on any podcast platform.

    Here’s one episode for example:

I have read that you need to include <description> or <content:encoded> to let podcast apps choose whether to use a plain text or HTML show notes description. However I’m not sure how to do that within the post in WordPress.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers.

First, Not all podcast apps or directories will show links at all. It’s up to them.

Second, it’s the settings in your WordPress settings > reading. Set the “syndication feeds include” to Full text. That will enable the “content encoded” tag. Also make sure you are using the stock WordPress editor (either block or classic editor) when you make your posts. Not any of the “Builder” apps.

Mike thanks so much for your response. Greatly appreciated! I’ve made that change and we will see if that works on this week’s upload.

    Cheers,
    Rowan
