 * Hi
 * 1) I’ve been having this issue for some time now. The code is added to the functions.
   php file and when logged in, it shows the html links properly, but when I log
   out and to the public is doesn’t show it properly. It shows <a-href=”……
 * 2) Also not sure if its a theme issue but the code keeps on disappearing from
   the functions.php files.
 * BTW thanks you for the awesome plugin.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fhtml-issue-4%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * I don’t support custom code you add to your files. Your code, your responsibility.

 * Not custom code, the code you gave to add html to the spreadsheet.

 * Still your code. If I wanted to support HTML links, I would just do that in the
   plugin proper. And yes, if the theme you’re using has its own `functions.php`
   file, when you update the theme you overwrite the file. Use a [child theme](http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/wordpress-child-theme-pros-cons/).

 * So, is there no reliable way to add a link like:
    `<a href="/coalition-utah-wasatch/"
   >Utah Wasatch</a>` To a google sheet and have it work?

 * Thanks. I’ve already applied that but while it renders the linked text, the link
   isn’t there. The code sample I provided is in my spreadsheet, but the link in
   the spreadsheet isn’t clickable.

 * Sigh. WordPress plugins can not change how Google Spreadsheets work. You might
   be looking for [the `=hyperlink()` Google Sheet function](https://support.google.com/docs/answer/3093313?hl=en).

   I have neither the desire nor the time to offer support for Google Products,
   especially for free.

 * Thanks. I understand.
 * The only reason I expected it to work is that it was an href just like this you
   showed in your example. Thanks for your help, it i=is much appreciated.
