# HTML5 issues, Doc doesn’t help

* Hi,
* I’m facing issues with all the browsers regarding HTML5 files, concretely date
and number fields.
I’m using the HTML5 fallback provided by CF7 whenever the
browser doesn’t support it and loading jquery-ui-datepicker and jquery-ui-spinner.
WP, Theme and Plugin up to date. Here a list of the problems I’m facing now:
- Firefox (61.0.1) and Chrome (58.0.3029.96). Apparently both support HTML5:

The placeholder is not showing, instead, “mm/dd/yyyy” is always there
until a date is chosen.
It doesn’t matter if I set a default value or not.
I wouldn’t mind that if I could control the format, but I cannot. The only
format control provided in the Doc is for the email, not for the form.
- The spinner is not showing the default value.
- **If I remove support for HTML5 of the plugin as indicated in the Doc, then
THE JQUERY-UI FALLBACK DOESN’T WORK!**
* - IE11 (11.0.10240.17443): Spinner fallback is not working? Only number box,
but no arrows to click up and down (is this the expected jQuery-UI spinner?).
- Dolphin 12.0.11 (Android):

* Try switching to the default theme (Twenty Seventeen) and deactivating all other
plugins.

* Same issues, even worse. Chrome doesn’t show calendar when clicking on the date,
I have to click on the arrow appearing at the right.
I’ve done the test [here](http://adventureartisansbhutan.navarradas.com/blog/).

* I get it’s a free plugin, but nobody has reviewed my last comment, that is as
simple as stating if anybody can see or not the same as me.
Just replied with
the typical automated answer and then ignore.
