 * I am new to MAMP and WP, and have run into a wall.
A week ago I started building
my first WP site using MAMP to build the website locally. It worked seemlessly
and everything was going well. I was on vacation for a week, and now when I try
to get back into my site, it wont work!
 * When I type localhost into the browser, it shows me all the folders (1 folder
for images I intend on using in the site, 1 for my website text, 1 is the actual
wordpress folder and even a new fresh unzipped wordpress folder).
 * If I click on the folder with the images or the website text, I can see all the
files and same goes for the website text folder. But when I click on either of
the wordpress folders, I get the Http:500 error as follows:
 * _“The website encountered an error while retrieving [http://localhost/comRockheartGoa/](http://localhost/comRockheartGoa/).
It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.”
 * I havent changed any settings or done anything but it has just stopped working
and I have no clue where to start looking for a solution!
 * I am at the point where I think I might have to reinstall MAMP and restart the
   whole site from scratch!

 * Update:
I have tried to unzip the wordpress file in a different location and
point the MAMP Apache server to that location, and then when I go through localhost
it asks me to setup the wp-config.php file again. So now the million dollar question–
what do I need to do to get my old site working? Just pointing the Apache server
back to that folder does not work – so I am guessing I need to change some setting
   somewhere?
 * So the fresh install of wordpress runs when I put it in a different destination
and point that MAMP Apache server there. I really do not want to have to rebuild
the site from scratch, so any help will be appreciated

 * Let it install in that new location then copy the contents and any files that
you changed to that new location.
