# HTTP 500 Internal server error…

 * I was putting this down to the host I was using, but after trying to re-set-up
   my blog on a couple of other hosts with the same results I was wondering if this
   had happened to anyone else, and if they knew how to resolve it.
 * Re-construction:
 * I had been adding plugins over the period of about a week, usually one a day (
   I’d spent most of the time each day researching various plugins to find what
   I felt like adding that day, then researching the plugin itself to make sure
   it works in general and would work on my blog). Last thursday I had finished
   up for the night, and as always I’d log out of the admin area and check that
   the blog worked as it should when I was a guest, and it did, everything worked
   perfectly. Next day, I try to access my blog, I get a HTTP 500 Internal server
   error. No big… I assume it’s an issue with the host, after an hour (and a message
   to the support staff to find out exactly what’s going on), the issue is still
   there. I open my admin login page, it opens like lightning, try to login, and
   get the same error. The last few days has pretty much been a cycle of those events,
   and the issue is still there. I haven’t heard back from the support, which is
   infuriating, especially as I’d set the message’s priority as High, and if it
   hadn’t with a couple of others I would assume it’s the hosts fault, but it has
   and now I’m unable to access my blog, or the admin area.
 * I also tried renaming the plugins folder via FTP, thinking that if it was down
   to a plugin (and renaming the folder should deactivate all active plugins…I think),
   then the issue would be resolved and I can use the process of elimination method
   to find out which one was causing it, but renaming the folder hasn’t resolved
   it.
 * Anyone got a clue about this?
 * Thanks in advance,
 * Lee Cosgrove
