# HTTP API Error

 * I have having problems when doing anything, really. Every time I try to do something
   where it connects to the internet, I get a wordpress error that says, “An Unexpected
   HTTP Error occurred during the API request.” Whether it be searching for a template
   or finding plugins, it does not work.
 * Fresh install, nothing custom. Worked before, now it does not.
 * Help please.

 * Assuming your fresh install is WP 3.2.1, check out _/wp-includes/class-http.php_,
   line 86:
 * `'timeout' => apply_filters( 'http_request_timeout', 5),`
 * Try changing the 5 to a 30, and report back. Also, check out this thread:
