# HTTP ERROR 500

 * Dear WordPress Support Team,
 * I was working on editing a php code of my website’s current theme (Theme: Quest,
   file: extras.php). However, before I made correct edits in the code, I accidentally
   updated the file and now I had no access to any part of my site! I am not good
   at coding and not sure how to solve this error.
 * When I attempt to open the website, it gives this error message:
    “This page 
   isn’t working. _MYSITE_ is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR
   500″
 * Could you please help to solve this error as soon as possible?

 * If you have the access to the server via FTP or SSH, try to rename your theme
   example: Quest to Quest-old, then WordPress automatically active the default 
   theme maybe Twenty Seventeen.
 * After that, you can log in to your dashboard and fix your code.

 * Many thanks for your suggestion! But unfortunately I don’t have access to the
   server via SSH or FTP. Is there any other way to solve this issue?
