Please advise on a solution. I could delete the plugin from cpanel but is there a better solution? The current shield plugin update has made changes to .htaccess causing the http error 500. Im not sure what those changes are so I will wait to hear from you. Please advise. That is one of the tenets of Shield – not writing to core system files. * What happened was, Shield was upgraded. That is strange since http 500 error happened right after I updated the shield plugin. No other plugins were updated and prior to the update I was able to login to my wp admin without any error. No other work was undertaken on the site. I used ‘forceoff’ and renamed the plugin file and reset the htaccess file. All was well until this morning. I decided to activate the shield plugin again and the 500 error appeared instantly. The current shield update appears to be conflicting with [wp-hide-security-enhancer](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-hide-security-enhancer/) plugin. If I deactivate that plugin then shield works without error. * Any resolve around this? Im happy to purchase pro for the support if there is a workaround this as both plugins are important to us re security. * Let me know.
