 * I started receiving an “Http error” after completing an mp3 upload but before
   it does it’s “crunching”. I was able to successfully upload a pdf and an mkv
   Saturday night (Sept 21) but I haven’t been able to successfully upload anything
   since Sunday morning (Sept 22nd). I have tried multiple fixes via searching,
   including:
 * -Trying all 3 different upload methods
    -Trying to resave my mp3 (16 MB). The
   file isn’t corrupted and it isn’t named differently than the other 100+ mp3 files
   I have uploaded over the last 4 years. -Trying to upload various smaller files
   including jpgs, docx, & pdfs. -Edited my wp-config.php to include the define(‘
   WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’); code. I believe that this won’t make any difference
   due to my host (DreamHost) limiting my upload max size to 64 MB. -Deleted over
   500 MB of datafiles in case I’m bumping up against a hosting file storage limit.
   I am currently at 4.28 Gb I was just under 5 GB last night. -I have deactivated
   all of my plugins (7 plugins active, 2 deactivated).
 * I am up to date on all of my plug ins. Nothing that I’m aware of has been updated
   since my last successful upload Saturday night. I am on WP version 5.2.3 and
   running the Coraline theme that I have been using forever.
 * I will open a ticket with my host, too.
 * Thanks,
    Lance

 * Sorry for the follow on messages. I usually use Chrome but I have tried Firefox
   with the same error. I have alos tried multiple different computers, all Windows
   10.

 * I have seen this error before and I recall it being related to disk space – the
   file tried to save after upload and when it couldn’t, it gave a generic http
   error.
    Given you say that there is plenty of space, I guess it is not related
   to that.
 * What I would do:
    1. Change the filename e.g. to .jpg and then try and upload
   that – rule out a problem with “mp3” extension 2. If it’s not that, and you have
   space, try a different file, any file to confirm it is only this single file.(
   Try a file of similar size)

 * HTTP response status codes indicate whether a specific HTTP request has been
   successfully completed. Responses are grouped in five classes:
 * Informational responses (100–199),
    Successful responses (200–299), Redirects(
   300–399), Client errors (400–499), and Server errors (500–599).

 * I contacted my webhost and they found error messages in my php error log
 *  “mod_security entries in your error.log”
 * Mainly: “ModSecurity: Input filter: Failed to delete temporary file:”
 * They ran an update to the mod_security and that took care of the problem.
 * Thanks to all that read/responded to this thread.
