# HTTP error while uploading images – Fix

 * OK, I found this fix and it actually WORKS (for once)
    If you’re having issues
   uploading images and getting the HTTP error – while crunching.. do this.
 * via FTP
    Create an empty plugins folder
    - Navigate to the wp-contents folder (directory)
    - Rename the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold”
    - Create new folder called “plugins”
    - Login to your WordPress administration menus
    - Go to your Plugin Menu.. all your plugins will “break”
    - Reload the page, all your plugins are gone
    - Via FTP Delete the empty “plugins” you previous created
    - Now.. rename “plugins.hold” back to “plugins”
    - Reload your plugins admin page.. all plugins are back
    - NOW, try uploading an image.. no more HTTP error!
    - Now, re-activate your plugins. (bulk) all your settings for each plug in should
      still be there.
