 * Hi,
    first off, thank you for this amazing plugin.
 * I have thousands of redirects looking like this:
 * [http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-1](http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-1)

   [http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-2](http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-2)
   [http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-3](http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-3)
   [http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-4](http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-4)
   etc.
 * These redirects are placed inside another website:
 * [http://main-website.com](http://main-website.com)
 * Now if I make:
    website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com from http into https,
 * will this link:
    [http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-1](http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-1)
 * still work and redirect?
 * or do I need to go in main-website.com
    and update all my thousands of redirect
   from: [http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-1](http://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-1)
   to [https://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-1](https://website-i-use-only-for-redirects.com/product-1)
 * ?
 * Thanks!

 * If the source URLs are relative to the site then they will work on any domain.

 * Hi John,
    could you please expand on your answer? It is not clear to me,
 * Thank you very much!

 * I don’t fully understand your question, and without knowing more about the details
   I can only give a vague response. If the source URLs of your redirects are relative
   to the site (i.e. `/some-url-to-redirect`) then they will work regardless of
   what the domain is.

 * Hi John,
    thanks for your reply.
 * I will try to be more detailed.
 * I have a blog, let’s name it **[http://blog.com](http://blog.com)**
    in my articles
   I have some links.
 * I created a separate website let’s call it **[http://lnk.com](http://lnk.com)**
   in which I installed your plugin and in which I set up thousands of redirects
   that look like this:
 * **[http://lnk.com/1](http://lnk.com/1)
    [http://lnk.com/2](http://lnk.com/2)
   [http://lnk.com/3](http://lnk.com/3) [http://lnk.com/134324](http://lnk.com/134324)
   etc.
 * Every time in [http://blog.com](http://blog.com) I link to an external source
   I use the [http://lnk.com/23423](http://lnk.com/23423) format. It is kinda my
   own URL shortener.
 * Now I am about to update both:
    [http://blog.com](http://blog.com) and [http://lnk.com](http://lnk.com)
   from **HTTP to HTTPS**
 * I am worried that after I make this move, all my
    [http://lnk.com/134324](http://lnk.com/134324)
   links will not work anymore, and I will need to go inside [http://blog.com](http://blog.com)
   and update all thousands of links to [https://lnk.com/134324](https://lnk.com/134324)
 * So the question:
 * Is this the case?
    Will I need to update all links to https from within my articles?
 * Will the redirect be slower because for example a random redirect has to go from
   [http://lnk.com/134324](http://lnk.com/134324) to [https://lnk.com/134324](https://lnk.com/134324)
   and then to LANDING WEBSITE?
 * I see how this question looks complicated, I hope I made it more clear!
 * Thank you very much,
    D.
