 * I would like to convert my WPMU primary site to HTTPS, but keep all of the sub-
sites HTTP. The Easy HTTPS plugin, whether Network or Site activated, switches
the entire network to HTTPS, which messes up all the subsites. The WP HTTPS plugin
looks like it was selectable, but it doesn’t seem to be supported anymore.
 * Does anyone know of another plugin, or code I can add to my .htaccess file, so
that only the primary site is forced to HTTPS while the remainder of the sites
   stay HTTP?
 * Thank you.

 * You should just be able to edit the primary site to use `https://` in the home&
site URLs, and the others should continue to use `http://` if they are configured
   to do so.
 * You may run into other issues, though, if you’re linking assets between sites.
Also, scripts like CSS and JS will end up being cached separately, which may
be a little dizzying for you to troubleshoot later.

 * Thanks John, good point. The reason I didn’t want to change the sub-sites is
because the “insert video” shortcode in the Inovado theme I am using was not
converting the videos to https, and I didn’t want to go through all of the sites
and switch all the videos to the standard YouTube embed code, as I would need
to play around with all the sizes to get them to look right. The Inovado shortcode
kept them in my columns properly.
 * I guess I can play around with the Inovado theme shortcode to try to get it to
work, or just switch themes like I did on my primary site.
 * Either way, lotsa work, coming right up… 🙂
