# https to http worked, except for media files and wp-admin

 * I am trying to switch a site to not request the https. I have that working for
   everything except media files and wp-admin. I tried re-uploading, I can’t find
   another .htaccess file either. What needs to change?

 * In any case, install the plugin “better search and replace”. Search for [https://mydomain.com](https://mydomain.com)
   and replace with [http://mydomain.com](http://mydomain.com)
