 * Love this plugin,
 * I am having one problem though, everytime I try to use the gview shortcode in
an email I sent to my blog the email server auto hyperlinks the URL (I notice
that for the shortcode to work it needs to not be hyperlinked).
 * I have as yet not found an email server that does not do this, even when you
take the hyperlink off before you send.
 * Is there any way you can change something in the URL format for the shortcode(
or add a second format option) so that we can use spaces/underscores… in the
URL to stop the autohyperlinking from happening?

 * You may want to look into using the File Base URL setting in your profile(s).
If all your URLs start with the same path (or you only have a few, and use profiles
that are the same with the users you email) then you only need the relative portion
or even just the filename inside the shortcode. Then your email client isn’t
likely to create a link out of it.
 * Another alternative might be to instruct your users to paste the shortcode in
the Text editor rather than the Visual editor, depending on how the link is being
formed. You may also have a setting in your email client that turns autolinking
   off.
 * Not that I don’t want to be helpful if neither of those cases fit your needs,
but I don’t really think it fits with GDE otherwise to create a weird version
of its shortcode for emailing purposes – that’s a pretty niche problem. But if
there is a large public demand for such a feature, let it be stated here. 🙂

 * I did go through those points and couldn’t find any way of disabling the auto-
hyperlink option, I also have no way of knowing what email clients my bloggers
   will be using.
 * The File Based URL option works but not when linking to PDFs that are on other
websites which is what I was trying to do.
