# I cannot delete plugins

 * Hi,
    I updated to wordpress version 5.5.1 and when I try to remove a plugin I
   get the error :
 *     ```
       Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'aysDeleteUninstall' of undefined
           at HTMLAnchorElement.<anonymous> (updates.min.js:2)
           at HTMLFormElement.dispatch (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,utils,moxiejs,plupload&ver=5.5.1:3)
           at HTMLFormElement.r.handle (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,utils,moxiejs,plupload&ver=5.5.1:3)
       (anonymous) @ updates.min.js:2
       dispatch @ load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,utils,moxiejs,plupload&ver=5.5.1:3
       r.handle @ load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,utils,moxiejs,plupload&ver=5.5.1:3
       ```

   work correctly after the WordPress 5.5.1 **update**.

 * I’d suggest you update your WordPress theme, the error is caused mostly by theme
   who still run older codes. However if your theme developer is yet to update there
   theme codes then [Jquery Migrate Helper](https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/)
   should do the magic.
