I cannot delete the plugin via the dashboard
-
Hi
A while back, I talked of some issues with automatic update of feeds in new versions after major update not working as before. After somehow not being able to implement the suggested measures with success, I reverted to an old version 2.6x.
Then on another site, I noted with the newest version, which was NOT updated, just installed freshly, that using cron set up in the cpanel, the feeds were updating as expected.
So I went back to the other site, updated from 2.6x to the current version, updated DB, etc as instructed & tried to set cron from cpanel to update feeds like in the other case with the same code, got from recommended instructions & used above.
I noted, though that the feeds were not updating. so I decided to try & completely delete the plugin via the dashboard & install it afresh, hoping it would work like in the other case.
The problem is, it does not accept deletion. The page tries to load once u click “delete” & after a while you get a blank page. After a several trials, I gave up.
I tried deletion via FTP, but I guess this leaves settings & co intact, which may probably be containing a problem.
So is there a problem with deletion?
I have not experienced this with other modules failing to get deleted & also for other modules, I do not have to use cron in the cpanel.
Anyway, how does one completely delete the module via cpanel & if this is not possible, elsewhere but to include settings?Thank you in advance.
Regards
