# I cannot write new posts!

 * Suddenly – not sure when this started as I hadn’t tried to post anything for 
   a week or two – I cannot write new posts.
 * The tools bar has disappeared from the top of the posts.
 * I can enter the title of a post. I cannot enter text in the main box – it doesn’t
   appear. Though if I highlight it, it appears if something is there.
 * If I click to view the html, nothing happens.
 * I have de-activated all my plugins to no avail.
 * Any ideas? Very very concerned. Am not an IT person at all – just an amateur 
   blogger – but my blogs are important to me and I am concerend that I’ll lose 
   readers if I can’t put a new post up soon!

 * Have you tried:
 * – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a **fresh** download
   of WordPress.

 * I tried switching to Twenty Eleven – no difference.
    I do not know how to reset
   the plugins folder but I deactivated every plug in. No difference. I have completely
   reinstalled WordPress on one site and even the now empty blog will not take new
   posts. Have tried different browsers and different computers. It just doesn’t
   work! I am amazed that having reinstalled, it doesn’t work. I did Easy Install
   using Softaculous.

 * In any case, I have reinstalled WordPress completely on one blog. I have absolutely
   NO plugins installed now on that new blog. It is STILL not allowing me to post.

 * Try adding `define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );` to the bottom of your wp-
   config.php file (just before the `require_once` line).

 * I’m having the same problem. I just updated some of my plugins and now can’t 
   post, there is no text box, title box or tool bar at the top. I can’t edit any
   old posts either. Is this likely to resolve itself as I am not very tech savvy
   and need to be able to post. It doesn’t seem to have affected posting new pages.
   Please help!!

 * Try this – it worked for me. I changed [http://address.com](http://address.com)
   to http:www.address.com
