This issue [has been noted over on github since April 2022](https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/2339), and it has cropped up on one of my sites twice in the past six months. Duplicate payment/charge issues break trust with customers, and it’s ridiculous that this is still going on. * When I contacted Stripe, they noted: “there are a few things you can implement to help to prevent duplicate charges — Stripe API supports idempotency for safely retrying requests without accidentally performing the same operation twice. For example, if a request to create a charge fails due to a network connection error, you can retry the request with the same idempotency key to guarantee that only a single charge is created.” * Others have written into this forum noting Stripe’s support for idempotency and this plugin completely ignoring this fact. Is this issue ever going to be addressed?
