Hi @jackieforsyth,
Calm down. I got you.
Can you list me the cookies you are using? Just the names, no need for values.
Thank you
I think they are
gdpr
Woocommerce
wp-woocommerse
and
wfvt_1805779294
And I think that is all
Hi @jackieforsyth,
From this list, I’d say you can categorize all of them as “Strictly Necessary” and set it to always on.
The only one I don’t understand is the wfvt cookie.
This seems to be set by this company http://www.lowcarbon.com/cookie-policy/. In that case, you should get in touch with them to know exactly what is saved in their cookie and then categorize and provide a way to opt out.
If this is a third-party cookie, you link to their instructions on how to opt-out or at least their privacy policy. However, if this is set by your domain, you need to wrap it in code with one of our helper functions is_allowed_cookie( 'cookie_name' ); In that case, since they append an ID to the cookie name, you can say wfvt_ is the cookie name and the plugin will figure it out for you.
You can follow examples on how to do this here: http://gdpr-wp.com/knowledge-base/enabling-or-disabling-functionality-based-on-consent-and-cookies/
Hi Fernando,
I have done my best but still getting so confused by it all – is there anyway I could just pay someone to check out my site and do it for me.
I know it is a pain when people like me with absolutely no knowledge or websites try to do our own. I have twice in the past paid to have my website built – the first company put someone else website over mine and said that I had done it, then ignored me and the second used a programme that after two years my host no longer supported. I’m now at the end of my tether.
I’m only a very small home craft business and I’m sinking fast.
Can you send me a link to your website?
If you want help setting this up, you can reach us at https://gdpr-wp.com/#contact and someone will get in touch with you.
Thank you very much once again.
I have sent a message via the link.
