Hi,
Slimstat’s tracker can be setup in two different modes: Server Side mode is the most accurate and tracks pretty much ALL of your pageviews; and Javascript mode, where it behaves much more like google analytics, by ignoring bots and all those users who don’t have javascript enabled. Also, there’s a difference between Unique IPs and Visits (see the inline FAQs for more information about that). According to the numbers you posted, you have Slimstat setup in Javascript mode. Google Sessions = Slimstat VISITS, not pageviews. So you may want to compare those two numbers and see what you get there.
Cheers,
Camu
Thank for answer.
I know difference between unique IP and visits.
Can I configure WP stats to ignore bots?
I’ve found that GA doesn’t track everything. We use it only as a backup to check ‘trends’. If one analytics package (we use four of them) shows a trend, up, down, static, et al, we check the others for coincidence. GA is not our benchmark. We find this plugin to be very useful. This one and Wordfence.
@camu,
What is “Slimstats”? I haven’t seen that term used before. Is it another name for this plugin??
Slimstats is another stats plugin.
@greg,
Thanks for the clarification.
