# image add button not working

 * I just installed WP 3.0.1. When I’m adding a new post I try to use the “add an
   image” button, the pop up window comes up – but completely empty. How do I fix
   this? All the upload buttons do this as well.

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a **fresh** download
   of WordPress?
 * – increasing the available memory?

 * Try to Right Click the ADD THE IMAGE link and choose **open it in new window**_._

 * That shouldn’t be necessary. If the popups aren’t working correctly, there’s 
   a good chance that it’s a symptom of a more serious problem.
