Image Alignment

I am trying to insert a number of images in a post, all aligned to the left, each one will have a description written about it text wrapped on the right side.

The ‘align left’ is selected, but when the draft is saved or previewed the images align side by side, all over the place. Not all in a column.

Any ideas why? It is not the theme as ive tried it on multiple themes.
