    when adding image to gallery, I do get the error message:
 * Warning: Illegal string offset ‘width’ in /www/htdocs/w00bd103/m…./wp-content/
   plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/admin/manage.
   php on line 208
 * Warning: Illegal string offset ‘height’ in /www/htdocs/w00bd103/m…./wp-content/
   plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/admin/manage.
   php on line 209
 * What to do with that? Thanks for your help!

 * This is happening when importing images to specific gallery-subfolders. Some 
   folders do work, others don’t. Always just standard-jpeg-files, all the same 
   dimensions. Independent of number of images I do try to import, even one image
   will bring up this error.

   at a taxonomy issue when importing that is relevant to the issue you are seeing;
   once that is sorted out this issue may also be resolved.
 * In the meantime it may be easier to either download and/or add the images directly
   via the Add Gallery/Image default option versus using the import routines.

   a bunch of updates recently
