 * According to PageSpeed Insights I have to loosely compress images to reduce the
   webpage by 49%.
 * I originally had images that where very large but were automatically re-scaled
   because of the Page Builder plugin. However, I have resized many images to reduce
   the page.
 * However, it still says i need to compress images. [https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sanddflooring.co.uk%2F&tab=desktop](https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sanddflooring.co.uk%2F&tab=desktop).
 * My accreditations at the bottom of the webpage were 200 x 200px but i have managed
   to scale them to 80 x 80px but still asking for compression.
 * I have installed a compression widget earlier, but this has no effect – in fact
   when I manage to get the page from red to amber, it goes back to red when I re-
   analyse the page.
 * Any ideas on what I can do. I really want to get the website green on Google’s
   PageSpeed Insights.

 * Have you tried manually re-saving images for web in photoshop? If that’s not
   an option you could also try compressing the images with a tool like imageoptim(
   only for mac) however this link has some additional options depending on your
   operating system that might be worth a look? Hope this helps some.

 * Hi Will,
 * Thank you for this. I have used Photoshop to reduce the file size. This has improved
   the page speed, 71 out 100. 🙂 Although it states that there are still images
   that could be optimised, but I am unable to pinpoint the which images as the
   URL’s don’t open and the images listed don’t even look familiar.
 * Losslessly compressing [https://pbs.twimg.com/…s/720540270228471808/gUU9ITc__normal.jpg](https://pbs.twimg.com/…s/720540270228471808/gUU9ITc__normal.jpg)
   could save 922B (53% reduction).

   could save 699B (39% reduction).
 * Any ideas.
 * Also, do you have any ideas on how to resolve
    **Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript
   and CSS in above-the-fold content.**
 * I have clicked on the link Google has provided me, but I have no clue on what
   this means.

 * If you have a decent theme then use this plugin [https://wordpress.org/plugins/scripts-to-footerphp/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/scripts-to-footerphp/)

 * Hi Andrew,
 * I have installed the plugin you have mention as it said it was compatible with
   the theme I am using.
 * However, this has reduced mystics performance as it is now 62/100 on desktop
   and 54/100 for mobile.
 * Regards

 * Weird, I wouldn’t worry about the “Render blocking scripts” rule then as the
   tool doesn’t respect the solution.
