# Image optimization? – feature request

 * Is there an option for using some kind of image optimization prior to uploading
   to S3?
 * Had been hoping to use an optimization filter upon media library upload, such
   as smush it. my users are uploading un-optimized images and it is a bloat problem.
 * Yahoo discontinued support for smush it, and the wpmudev smush it option uses
   the same/similar ajax handler as S3 and Cloudfront – which means that files are
   uploaded to S3 before they can be processed by smush
 * so… S3 and Cloudfront Pro might/should take that into account, and maybe delay
   uploading until triggered somehow and or integrate with optimization API’s
 * any other suggestions?

 * it is compatible with the Amazon s3 and cloudfront, images will be optimized 
   before uploaded to s3.
