 * Hi, I’m using WP 1.5.3, and I was wondering what different plugins people can
   recommend for posting? Right now I’m using WYSI-Wordpress, and I love it for 
   it’s “upload graphis” and “insert image” tools. But one thing I don’t like is
   that it doesn’t seperate the uploads per user… So for a community site like mine,
   each user has access to everything that’s been uploaded.
 * Is there any plugin just like WYSI that seperates out the image uploads so that
   each user has their own particular access?

 * Nope. It is always good to go back the the roots: like the homepage of WP.

 * I believe both of these have earlier versions that work with versions before 
   WP 2.0, if not it’s an incentive to upgrade 😀
 * Two plugins I use in conjunction are:
    [Organizer](http://imthi.com/organizer/)
   [Role Manager](http://redalt.com/wiki/Role+Manager)
 * With the addition of Role Manager, you can give each person and/or user level
   the exact permissions they need in Organizer.
 * You’ll have to make a user setting for each user individually if you want them
   to be able to view only their own folder of images in the dashboard.
 * Users will have to upload then copy and paste the URL to their image, of course.
