Image SEO for custom post type?

    Hi, are custom post types supported in Image SEO?

    What I need is the “image seo and “Add Missing ALT Attributes” features, but in the description it is mentioned that:

    “Note: Rank Math adds missing ALT attributes only for images added in post or page content, it will not do so for images used in headers, sidebars, footers, etc.”

    So I am concerned that this means that image seo won’t work on my custom post type created by CPT plugin?

    Hello @azarmig,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

    Yes, the Add missing ALT attribute options in Rank Math are not added to your images in the media gallery as the feature works only on the fly (applied on the front end when your page loads on the browser).

    Also, images added by your WordPress theme or page builder to various sections like your sliders, thumbnails, icons, etc. will not be affected as they only apply to images added directly to your content.

    However, if you have added images to your CPT content, they should be affected by this feature.
