# Image sizes automatic generation ?

 * Hello Alex,
 * I just realized about how much waste is the defaukt behaviour of WordPress core
   and found your approach which seems to me way more senseful.
    BUT…
    - I installed and enabled the plugin.
    - I added to the functions.php of my child theme a configuration hook based 
      on your github page.
    - I finally added a “rwd-image-sizes.php” to the directory of my child theme
      and this php file contains the full working config array published at your
      github ([https://github.com/justcoded/just-responsive-images/#pre-defined-rwd-set](https://github.com/justcoded/just-responsive-images/#pre-defined-rwd-set))
 * But I am surprised about one behaviour that I may have not understood properly.
   
   I was expecting your plugin to avoid auto generation of different image sizes
   from the wordpress core. In my case, it does not seem to happen. I still see 
   automatically every single core wordpress image sizes generated. (looking through
   ftp) ANd I don’t manage to see the “on-the-fly resizing” that you describe at
   the time I will display my page from different devices.
 * Can you advise here ?
    WIs it that I did not get the purpose of it or Am I doing
   sthg wrong ?

   and answer your questions,
 * In the meantime, could you please share the config file?
 * Did you remove manual registration of image sizes you had before installing the
   plugin? (plugin will register them based on config)
